My eight-year-old wanted to play clarinet for her band instrument so we bought three of these so my two daughters and I could all play together. The clarinets have a very nice sound and have been a good value this past year. We had a little trouble with the thumbpiece that you hold on to getting stripped and falling off. We contacted the manufacturer and they sent us three new plates and screws and so far those have held together well. I got a better ligature and mouthpiece for my now nine-year-old and she prefers those to go with this clarinet. However, I have been very pleased with the consistency and sound quality of the mouthpiece and ligature included with the clarinet. The tone must be accurate because my daughter's band generally tunes to her clarinet pitch. This is a great entry level clarinet. I would recommend this clarinet over a rental as being a much better value for the money.

It's a perfect beginner clarinet my only real complaint is that the ligature (the piece that holds the reed in place) is hard to secure and often slips out of place during normal use. I'm not sure if it's the reeds at fault (which is probably likely) that came with the clarinet or if it's an isolated problem with this particular piece. I would recommend ordering different reeds that are more uniform in thickness and not too thick. Other than that it's perfect. I bought this clarinet to brush up on my previously learned skills. And relearn how to read music that I seemed to have forgotten with time, however it came right back to me! I love the case it's almost like a canvas material, or if you have ever felt a children's stroller it's almost exactly like that on the outside. It has a small pocket on the front to hold small sheet music and a lyre if you need it. As well as a pencil and chapstick. Much needed items for a clarinet player. The cork material is good and thick so make sure you take care while putting together and make sure you use the wax included! It can be a little difficult to piece together and tuning it the first couple of times so first time students may need some assistance. All in all it's a quality beginner clarinet. It sounds almost exactly like my other clarinet I had that was way way way more expensive. I'm not sure if it's because of the way my mouth is shaped/air flow or if it is the material I should have my husband try it and see if it's just me :)

Okay so we didn't want to spend 1000 dollars on a clarinet that we weren't sure our kid was going to wanna play after awhile. Checked on here and found this awesome buy. People acted as if it wouldn't be good enough, but it is absolutely awesome! Very well built, sounds great, and came with everything that was expected. So so happy we found this clarinet!!

Bought this for my 4th grader in order to avoid renting an instrument for school. This clarinet has a beautiful sound. Sounded much better compared to the rented instrument. Bought size 2.0 reeds to use with this. The fit is tight. Definitely needed a lot of cork grease but nothing that my kid can't handle. The customer service is very responsive. I emailed with questions and they answered very promptly.
If you're concerned on quality for your student player, just get this! You won't regret it.

I never played a clarinet before in my life. I bought this one to start a new hobby and I can tell you that I love it! It sounds very nice and it comes with a lot of extra items. Good price for the product.
