Purchased as a Christmas present for my granddaughter. There is a large assortment of specimens that are easy to study. Well worth the cost.

PROS: GREAT samples, packaging is excellent, I love the box that they come in and how the wood has a finish on the outside. There are slots for each slide, and if you take out multiple slides, the bottom of the box is labeled with the slide that is supposed to go there, so you know where to put them back. I like this because I prefer to keep everything in order, especially samples that are plant related and animal tissue related.
CONS: they came in a bit dusty. I'm not sure if it is because of the foam protector sheet that lines the top of the box or from the wood, but there was definitely a dusty substance on each slide. This was an easy fix. I took one of my soft bristled water colour paint brushes and brushed off the dust. It did not leave any scratches or residue on the slides.

Great slide set. The quality is awesome and the slide come in a protective wooden case. They will last a long time. The detail is wonderful and the variety is wonderful.
Should have been prepped on to clean slides in clean environment

Sturdy little box, slides well labeled & intact. Why go through all the effort to put the specimens on dirty slides? They look cloudy when held up to the light, & have a good amount of debris. That does not impress. Still, I can see the specimens.

The slides arrived on time and as described. The literature in the box with the slides is great, and provides good descriptions of each of the slides. The reason I am only giving four stars is that we had a few slides that we very faint and really hard to see anything. This was frustrating for students that were using these slides as their first experience with a microscope and practicing focusing and sketching what they could see.
