Better than one would think. The stuffed cabbage is tasty. We actually served it (in a chaffing dish) to some guests the other night as a dinner first course, let them think it was home made and they loved it! Unbelievable. One of the better glatt kosher MRE type entrees; we'll enjoy it while sailing this summer. Of the six packages we've tried, one was over-spiced and had too mich pepper for my taste, but overall a great, quick meal. The quantity and size of the stuffed cabbages varied a lot between packages, making one wonder how good their quality control is.
If you are heating in boiling water (as in camping), I'd leave the package in for twice the recommended time or you'll have luke warm results.
Problem! adding to my original review: I've had quite a few of these over the past year; great for traveling and for the boat, BUT, I have experienced perhaps 4 or 5 of these which were damaged internally (packing was intact). The contents were not nice stuffed cabbage, but looked like product that had been through a blender. Smelled good, but all the parts were mushed together, no loaves, just a mess of rice, leaves and salt. Didn't take a chance and had to discard them. Poor quality control. Weight was correct, but insides were destroyed. - Makes you wonder about the control of kashrut!
