Remote control and apps don't play together well

The operating system is excellent, but the remote control doesn't work well with the apps. Netflex was best served by going thru the browser and using the mouse. The remote was useless with the PlutoTV app, could not get the channel guide and had to use the mouse to change the channel one by one. That was the final straw, got a Fire stick and the remote works perfectly.
You Tube videos are very fuzzy nothing like the HD specs it boasts

This box is very disappointing. I purchased it to replace an MX box. With specs such as this box has, I thought I had bought the Rolls Royce of TV boxes. It freezes up on you very often and the remote has no effect.......you then have to unplug it to reboot it. You Tube videos are very fuzzy nothing like the HD specs it boasts. When I play the same You Tube videos on my lap top the videos show very clear, which proves that it is the box and not the videos. It also keeps buffering, buffering and buffering, but the same videos play flawlessly using the same WiFi on other devices such as my phone or laptop. It seems to be a cheap knock off with none of the specs it boasts. Don't buy it.

The box feels like it is good quality. The front display is nice and clear. It boots fast and the Android OS is snappy. I have not tried anything in 4K but 1080p works great and all content is smooth. My main complaint is that the remote doesn't work properly in apps like Netflix, HBO NOW, Amazon Prime Video and Plex. you end up using the mouse mode to select things because the arrows on the remote cannot navigate the whole screen or scroll anywhere. Almost like the version of the app expects a touchscreen that you don't have. I bought a remote with a gyro mouse which helps somewhat but it is still a cumbersome experience. I would not buy this again if I had a choice.

Generally seems to work well. In the short time I have had mine it has locked up twice, requiring me to disconnect/reconnect the power to get it working again. I am happy with the speed, picture, and sound quality when it is working, though.
Also, the TF card slot was defective in mine and will not retain a memory card (push it in, it pops right back out). I decided not to return it because I wasn't planning to use the TF slot, but I probably should have.
