Can't speak on longevity yet. However this system is complete and appears to be well built. Water is 25 hardness 4 iron.The old Kenmore special left our toilets full of Iron and our showers smelling like sulfur. Installed this softener with a big blue and now our water is excellent! Extremely pleased with this purchase.
