Lift was delivered earlier than expected. It was extremely well packaged and arrived with no external damage to the boxes. It required cutting out one 2X4 and then boxing in. Be sure and watch the multipart videos before starting the installation. The videos were also used to clarify the instructions. Unit dropped right in. Speed of the lift Up/Down was excellent. Brought down 15 Christmas boxes.

The media could not be loaded. We had an Aux-lift in our previous home (it was 4x8') but was installed below the attic space"¦. This space-lift costs a bit more but works faster and is completely hidden when not in use. I got the wider 28.5" model even though we had 24" framing. Their smaller model will just drop in (for me) with minimal work. So this was more work reframing to 28.5" wide but you also have to consider that the usable opening and tray is just 24" wide and I'm thinking 18- 20" wide (same length) for the smaller model"¦ So we can fit a standard tote on this and very tall objects as high as your attic space with no issues and it lifts 200lbs. Everything came in fine, no huge issues installing it.

I tried to build my idea of a lift for our garage attic, but I realized that what I made wasn't going to be safe to have over our heads, so I turned to Amazon to find a safe lift. I'm happy I found the SpaceLift. I especially like the design that omitted the bars arching above the lift. I love the safety features; the prevent overloading the lift, and stops the lift of it contacts any obstructions. I think the designer(s) deserve the trophy for best attic lift.
