I went with the antique gold and it's a bit darker than I was expecting, but I didn't want super shiny either, so my golden 1/2 bathroom is a good mix of them all. I don't think these are made of plaster anymore. Feels more like plastic or acrylic, and I was happy that mine came with gold screws to match. I have some gold spray paint I might dab on the swirls if I want them to pop more like another commenter did.
I just deducted a star because the red ones just arrived (days after the gold ones, but days sooner than the shipper said), but they have no matching screws. Why would I want silver screwheads in a red and gold plate cover? So, out comes the gold spray paint again. An easy fix, and I will use a Q-tip to highlight the raised gold scrolls on these as well. The red color is more like a maroon. All the plates seems to be darker than what is shown online.

I personally wanted more gold leaf than what came on this so I used my hobby lobby glorious gold and pepped it up for more contrast. It only took about 10 minutes and it has more "pop" now. You can see where I added gold from my before and after pics. Overall a neat idea and design. Shipping was very fast.
