Yes, the baskets are tiny, but I think I would have given up starting on something larger. My baskets don't quite look like the photos in the instructions, but I did finish them. The instructions are simple, have larger print and lots of photos. You can make 6 different baskets using 6 different techniques and different materials. The kit may seem expensive, but they provide everything, including a needle with each basket so more than one person can participate at the same time. If you are trying to decide if basket making is for you, I highly recommend this set.

Great intro to basket weaving. The descriptions do say they are small in size, listing specific dimensions in the pictures for each, so I knew what was getting before I bought online. Really great starter kit, to try your hand at this craft. I tried to find all the materials locally, separately, because I had an old book I wanted to work with to get started. To get all the items where I live would be double the price of this kit, or even more, so I decided to go small for the first time and give it a try. It was not easy at first and if you have arthritis, working with small items like these might be hard at first. I have craft gloves I wear when crocheting and knitting, which helped. I gave my baskets away with mini, fudge-dipped pretzels and little spritz cookies wrapped in cellophane inside them, and everyone loved their little gifts.
