I like pools of light that highlight specific areas and I bought these to use under my kitchen cabinets to avoid using overhead lights and electricity all the time. Great light, super easy to install and loved the effect and illumination. Just what I wanted! The battery life however is a drawback if you want to leave them on for long lengths of time . So I did purchase rechargeable batteries and a charger to use with these because of this. I left them on full time at night to test the battery life and they did last for a night or two then started to dim with the constant use. They were still giving the lower light for several more days - about a week - then not effective. So started thinking how I could use these more effectively and functionally throught the house instead of just for the "effect" .

Linen closet! I have to turn on the hall light to see in this closet and have used a flashlight to find things! I have no wall surface inside the closet so I installed one strip vertically on the trim facing inside the door, stringing the light downward with the switch at the top. Be sure to face the lights towards the closet interior so you don't blind yourself when you turn them on! This worked GREAT! illuminating all 4 areas of the closet and the switch is not in the way. You only turn it on when you need to get something so it is not constantly on and the batteries will last a long time and have. It's portable and you can adjust it to your height and reach, no tools needed - just stick it on and then "click it"!

2nd area I installed was in the laundry room - under the cabinet over the washer and dryer. Gives me enough light to store or find things I keep in there, do laundry, whatever I need to do without having to use the electricity. I just "click it" when I go in there and "click it" again when I leave. Not on constantly so the batteries will last a long time and have.

I bought a set for my sister and she took it a step further and installed her set "inside her lower kitchen cabinets"! What a wonderful idea! You can hardly see what's in these bottom shelves much less retrieve it! My lower kitchen cabinets are very dark & have those corners that you can't even get to (they needed the turn-table devices installed when built) so my lower kitchen cabinets are going to be illuminated too and very shortly!

I thought about the products with motion detection but read that might tend to drain the batteries quicker (thanks to another reviewer!) since they would constantly be coming on/going off when the doors were opened for the cabinet or when walking into the room so decided against that feature and why it is not reviewed.

This is a great product that has a lot more uses then kitchen cabinets. Anywhere you may have a dark nook, book shelves, workshop or area that just needs a light once in a while - these work great and no electricity is required, very portable and flexible to use. I even thought these would work in boats that have those areas under the hull and along the sides for storage. I personally really enjoy having these - for me just made life a little bit brighter in the right areas!

These lights were really great in my kitchen. I put them under the quartzite overhang and they illuminate the stone beautifully. I also put some under upper cabinets for a little bit of light.

First off, if you are looking for incredible, battery-powered strip accent lighting - just stop looking and get these! The other reviews are not wrong - I love everything about these stick-on lights. The packaging is very nice quality and the light sets (I purchased the 3-set bundle) arrive safely nestled in a hefty cardboard box with cut-out sponge packing to hold each component (think the quality of an Apple iPhone box). Everything is in its place and arrives unbroken. Talk about easy to 'install'. You literally pop in the included AA batteries, wipe down the surface you want to adhere the lights to, peel off the 3M tape (actual 3M, not a knock-off brand) and stick the lights where you want them. You can also trim the light strip if needed, but mine fit perfectly under a 3-foot cabinet. The on/off clicker is substantial and I like the feel of the button and that you actually hear the 'click'. I am not sure where these were manufactured, but they are super nice quality. The printed directions are also clear and have illustrations, not that you need them, but it is a nice touch. I am already looking around my house for more spots to install these light strips. I chose the bright white set and leave these on at night in my kitchen.

Well packaged. Looked like IPhone had arrived. So easy to install. Plan on buying more. Very happy it solved my issues.
