Nice fix for a gate latch that doesn't always close well. I had purchased a latch with a spring but hadn't gotten around to install it. After seeing this product, it really seemed like an easier, simpler, more reliable fix. Super easy to install and use. I might still install the spring loaded latch, but it's no longer a priority. The gate can be easily secured now with little effort.

I needed to find a way to keep the cat out of the pantry. We have been tying a belt around the knobs and that is getting tiring. This gate latch was easily installed by my husband and it doesn't look too bad. But the best part is the cat cannot get into the pantry. The paint was immediately rubbed off of the latch, but we expected this from reading reviews from other people. Our main goal was to keep our naughty cat out of the pantry and it is working perfectly. Thank you.

What I liked about this product was that not only was it easy to install, but I was able to bring the 2 metal sliding shed doors together for a tight fit which I didn't have with the original.

This worked to put a simple latch on a two door setup. I don't have high hopes a child will not tear thru it - but that would be true of a hook latch too - not a quality reflection on this. I used my own screws since reviews of the screws were iffy - did not even try to use the ones provided. This looks nice and was super easy to install.
