i love this mask. but i just thought that it would be important to help other readers who are asking about nuclear statistics. put simply, its a loaded question. those who claim it is capable of nuclear protection are correct, however, those who claim it does not, are also quite correct. given the current state of the world, masks such as these, much like the air bags in your car, DO NOT guarantee the users safety, and are certainly not used for inhabiting nuclear radiated areas. these masks are civilian models, designed simply to TEMPORARILY terminate harmful (and/or nuclear) air consumption for a period of time until breathable air is accessible. this could mean that it could last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours before leakage. If the time comes where a gas mask is necessary, put it on and evacuate. many people seem convinced that when obtaining a gas mask (like this one), they obtain the ability to survive for long periods of time in radiated areas. this is false. having this mask simply rolls the dice on whether or not you have a chance to flea to a safer area. this is why companies are reluctant to guarantee anything. its a leap of faith more or less. regardless of whether you spend 50$ or 500$ on any anti radiation gear, unless you have an oxygen suit sitting in your garage, virtualy nothing accessible to civilians will 100% guarantee your safety. That being said, i really do like this mask and got it for this exact reason. it came on time, and is made very well. no rubber leakage around the face or in the filter itself. i can see clearly out of it and its very easy to adjust. the rubber and lenses are much better quality than expected. in todays world, having a few of these around the house may save your life when you least expect it. theres a reason items like these are distributed everywhere and arrive on time.

Amazing quality. Recently my group of friends have been increasing the danger level of our prank war, intigrating small doses of radioactive isotopes and chemical weaponry. Although it may not protect against the burning Nuclear sickness, It has kept me completely safe from the plauge virus they attempted to kill me with the last time! I would recommend this product for anyone who is in a similar small scale war!

The gas mask is great. It even came a day early! I absolutely love it. A minor complaint that doesn't really matter is that there is a very small amount of paint on the left lens from what I'd assume is the filter that rubbed against it slightly. I'm sure it can be cleaned off. Otherwise, an outstanding product!

Update: I went over the lens with a damp rag and scrubbed the paint away in little to no time at all. Now I officially have no complaints. :)
