It has no scent so that's good. It's consistency is like vaseline so it stays on and keeps dry skin from cracking or getting worse. I was given a small sample tube by a nurse because I am undergoing radiation therapy for a basal cell carcinoma on my nose - so far so good, one more week to go. I use this on my feet every day for dry calloused areas. It feels and looks a lot like Vaseline but it's water-based rather than petroleum-based. So it doesn't leave a mess on anything.
