2 Shelves, 3 Weeks -- Both Fell; 1 Broke

I purchased 2 of these and used them for maybe 3 weeks, carefully following the instructions (cleaning the surface before mounting, etc.). Each had a small vine-type plant in a 4" plastic pot (probably less than a pound-- not heavy). They worked fine at first. Over the last 72 hours, however, both Veg Ledges have fallen in the middle of the night. One fell twice-- I put it back up and it stayed for a day or so before falling again. The other one, however, fell and shattered right across the bend. They seemed sturdy and well-adhered (until they fell). I was optimistic that this would be better than most other suction-cup based things (like shower caddies or hooks) that I've previously had that, inevitably, fall down for one reason or another. But this is just the same, if not worse, given the short time in which they stayed up. I was especially disappointed that one broke in half!

I honestly love this thing, ordered two. I can't have plants down at a level where my cat can reach as she eats every plant she can get to. I live in a tiny apartment so there are not a lot of places where plants can get sunlight other than the two windows I have. These are fantastic. They look good and they are very well secured to the window. I plan on ordering more,

I was very much enjoying my small basil plant sitting upon this shelf in my window for about a month. Until I came home to discover the suction had released, the plant fell, hit a lamp, and shattered glass was everywhere :( I wouldn't recommend putting the shelf above or letting it hold anything breakable.
