fit and stay on.
OK but too thick for clearance critical space

OK product that looks pretty good. Bought this to protect the paint behind the door handles on our new Honda CRV. These protective trim bits look good and fit well.
So why only three stars? The chrome colored plastic trim is fairly thick - and the double stick tape used to mount makes it even thicker. The problem is that this significantly limits behind handle clearance and it defiantly feels like there is less room for your fingers to grasp the handle.
A better solution in this clearance critical space would be a chromed thin metal with an adhesive membrane, or even a vinyl trim "patch".
Finally, it is pretty likely these plastic trim pieces will lift off with time. To minimize this I cleaned the behind handle surface paint and then degreased with ethanol.
Just installed, so I can't speak to durability.
