Easy to install, had this up and running within 15 minutes (I have a Mac computer). It's fast, great quality and low maintenance. Great printer if you just need a wireless, black and white printer!
glitches, poor quality, short life

I've purchased Brother printers for my home office document printing for years. They have been reliable and cost effective to operate. However, this specific Brother printer is the worst printer I've ever owned. The glitches are overwhelming. And after 3 months it stopped working. I had it swapped out because we assumed the original unit was faulty. But the new one had the same problems. I can't recommend this printer.
This is a great, no-frills desktop printer

This is a great, no-frills desktop printer. I purchased this to replace a Brother 2270 that needed the drum replaced, and a whole new printer was not much more expensive, so I went that route. I am not sure how expensive consumables will be, but so far, this was pretty much just plug and play and makes crisp black and white printing easy.
Do not buy for Mac computers

Unable to hook up by WiFi to iMac computer after spending hours trying and discussing with Brother's support if you can call it that. Also very difficult to return as must wait for Office Depot to approve return which can take up to two full business days thus you may wait five days for approval.
