sounds great

this is my first proper jaw harp, so of course i'm far from an expert. The tatysh sounds great though. It looks good, it's well made. I have absolutely no complaints. I'm also quite happy about how easy it is for me to play as a beginner. Definitely would recommend.
It's an ultra bass

I am an unusually good whistler, and figured that skill might be applicable to this instrument (I was not wrong). I did not want the famous toy version, but instead a real musical instrument. A few hours of research convinced me this was a good one to start with, and I could not be happier with my choice. Within minutes I was able to produce a considerable range of notes and tonal effects, and I am continuing to improve. I will probably buy more harps over time, but if this was my only one I think I would be satisfied.
My only problem was that the cord from the case kept coming out, and I had to replace it.

Tuned C-sharp

This is a great instrument. Nicely made, nice box, nice tune. The only odd thing is that it's mine tuned to C-sharp which makes it sort of difficult to play with other instruments. Otherwise it's a wonderful thing.
Great for the Price!

This is a very nice vargan/jaw harp for the money. Yes it is a little rough around some of the edges (some of which I had to file myself.) But it is very well tuned. Has a nice loud sound. Bottom line is, the harp is a good "entry level" professional harp. Now let's talk about the neat little case it came with. I was thoroughly impressed with it. I thought it was made from plywood. It is not. There are NO voids in this little case's laminations. Even the hinge is wood. The only metal in it, is a couple of magnets that hold the jaws closed. You will need a leather thong or paracord strap to wear it around your neck. But it does have eyelets on the back (also wood.) All in all, this Glazyrin Compass satisfied my needs without breaking the bank!
