Nice home bike to use with Peloton app...only major flaw is LCD display
jpogar✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 16, 2023
For the money, this bike is a good value and I'm happy with it. I couldn't see paying $2,500 for a Peloton bike so I purchased this one and use it with the iPad app. The only significant issue I have with this bike is the LCD display....it's junk. The display that came with the bike was broken. It's really cheap plastic and does not measure up to the quality of the rest of the bike. Here's some individual areas that might be helpful for you:

- Comfort 4/5: I'm 6'02" and with the seat on the highest setting, it's still not tall enough, but not a huge deal either...just shorten my stride a bit. However, a tad higher on the seat would be perfect. The seat itself is surprisingly comfortable without any additional padding...my rump doesn't ache after riding this for 45-60 min a day.

- Build Quality 3.5/5: This really is a sturdy bike, very solid feel and doesn't wobble or rattle when you are pedaling hard. My only gripe is the LCD display...just a piece of junk on an otherwise great bike. Would be nice if the seat height could be push button adjustable instead of the screw in type....just takes longer to adjust from rider to rider.

-Controls 4/5: Everything is easy to use...water bottle is in a good spot (unlike others on the back of the bike) and tension adjustment is at the right location. I wish the tension control was a bit more graduated...meaning slight turns increase the tension a lot. It's manageable but wish it were a bit more "gentle". One minor issue....for me, the pulse sensors are too far forward. In an upright position, it's hard to keep my hands on them. Don't really use them anyway with the crappy display but not in a good location.

-Ease of assembly 5/5: I hate assembling stuff. Paid my teenage son $30 to put it together and he had it done in less than an hour.

-Customer Service 5/5: When I reported my LCD display as being cracked, the Amazon seller had a replacement on the way the same day. I had the replacement on my bike within three days. Very happy with the seller and their level of support for this bike.

-Value 5/5: Looked at a lot of bikes prior to purchasing this one. For the price, it's a good value and overall I'm happy with the bike....would buy it again and recommend it to family / friends looking for a decent home bike.
Great bike you won’t be disappointed!

This spin bike is awesome! A magnetic resistance with 40lb flywheel at this price point is a fantastic buy. It shipped and delivered in a few days way ahead of the anticipated time. It was very easy to assemble and took me 20 minuets to put it together by myself. The seat really needs to be cranked on to get it tightened. I did switch out the pedals for "look" compatible so I could use my road bike shoes and clip in. It's super easy to move and I can roll it anywhere I want to spin.

The adjustments for seat and handlebars are great for my height (5'4) and got me in the right position. I'm a heavy rider but on this bike I'm able to easily stay in the saddle for over 2 hours comfortably. The ride is smooth and there is no rocking or instability for uphill standing climbs which allows for power sprints very solid!

The display is basic and captures distance, calories, pulse. I use my Apple Watch and then make adjustments with that and the distance on the display to true up the data. I use my iPad to stream spin classes and it fits nicely over the display. I may buy a tablet holder for bikes to get a better heads up form in the future but this is not really a big deal for me but might be for very tall riders.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the performance of this bike and the quality of the product! Solid heavy duty frame and great construction and positioning. It takes up a small footprint and stores easily. It's as good as most spin bikes I've used in the gym. I would certainly recommend this for anyone who wants a good spin at home.
Very good substitute for the $2,500 dollar YMCA spinners
Nino Deprophetis✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 18, 2023
Doing spinning classes at the YMCA for 17 years. The feel of this bike pretty much duplicates those spinners. It is a rugged machine and I expect it to last a very long time. It is critical for me to get my heart rate up every day, and I can't run or walk long distances because of joint pain. I could easily put this in the back of my Chevy Equinox if needed. Easy to move around the room.
I would like to have seat height adjustments that had more levels. The seat has to be set at intervals where holes are for putting the lock pin. If your ideal level is between where the pin holes are, you have to use it at a less than ideal setting. I am looking into drilling some extra holes. Otherwise I am very happy with this machine, especially since the YMCA is closed now
Good bike, things to know however!

This is my first bike, I wanted a home gym bike and this one is good. Again, first bike I don't have anything to compare it to. I have looked up videos on how to setup a spin bike, and how to place the seat, and handle bars etc; this bike simply doesn't adjust enough to match what the 'pro's' tell me in order to setup correctly.
I'm 5'9 and weight 170. The seat is great, it adjust just fine, but the handlebars DO NOT come forward enough to make it a perfect fit for my size, maybe my arms are short, I don't know. I have to lean a bit more forward than I would like; but I guess I got what I paid for, this is a pel*****. I am going to research and see if the handlebars are replaceable with a different brand, I don't care to use the buttons on them, and to be honest, I don't use the digital monitor. It's a silly thing, yes it tracks some info, but I only follow videos or a HIIT timer on my phone so I don't even need it. It doesnt tell you resistance either, so it's kinda pointless?

The resistance setting on the bike is fine, you have no idea how much you're getting so just set it and go. It's easy to adjust on the fly while spinning but since you don't know what increments its changing, it's just best guess. too bad, but still, I only really ride for 10 minutes typically and mostly do HIIT.

Overall, construction was easy, it was packaged well, and the thing is heavy as an ox. seriously, the flywheel is so heavy. it's awesome. With my typical usage, I see this bike lasting a very long time.

If you own a home gym, or just want a really simple spin bike - I would recommend this. If you are training for serious spin, and do 1 hour sessions and need to adjust for hills and valleys and such, this might not be the best option because its hard to fine tune the adjustment / resistance while going full bore.
Good bike but a bit big for me
andrea eisenman✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 7, 2023
The bike is really quiet which is a change from my last belt-driven bike that I had for over 30 years. So, I like that it is quiet and runs nicely. I had no trouble with the control panel (yet), as I hear that can malfunction. But for my purposes, it keeps the time, miles and pulse info. What I don't love is, I am finding I have the bike on the closest setting seat-wise and handle bars and it is a bit of a stretch to bike without feeling like I am reaching for the pulse reader. While I have not been pedaling standing up, due to a recent knee injury, seated, the bike seems a bit too big for me. While I am 4'11", I read reviews of people who were 5' and the seller said it was ok. I did hire the tech to come and assemble it and he adjusted the seat slanting down. I had him redo it and still, I had to adjust it myself. Which is possible with the tools included with the bike. It was good I tried the bike while the tech was still at my apartment.
I am pretty happy with this purchase but the distance between the handle bars and the seat, for me, is a bit too far. And it is hard to know until you have the bike in front of you. Shorter buyers be wary, check the measurements before you buy this bike. Otherwise, I am enjoying the bike a lot.
