I wasn't sure what to expect for this price and frankly wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised that this is a decent stand. The build quality is solid so it's not flimsy. I wouldn't call it pretty but as far as form following function, it's not bad. If the screws were black it would have a cleaner look. But importantly, the springs are strong enough and the thumb screws work well. My mic isn't particularly heavy but I assume this would hold a heavy mic solidly. The shock mount is fine but not great for thicker microphones. Mine barely fits but it does fit so no complaints there.
The one complaint I have is I tend to swing the arm around so it's not in my face when I'm not using it and the base clamp is a little on the small side so it can slip back and forth. It's not going to come flying off the desk but it's not "solid". Honestly, it's a minor gripe that I could probably fix with some tape or something.

It's wonderful. It lets me get the Blue Snowball off of that terrible tiny stand, up off my desk and closer to my face when I want it - and push it away when I don't. It's also really easy to attach a standard pop filter on.
I think I actually like this arm a lot more than some more expensive ones, like Blue's Compass. Where that one takes up a huge amount of space on my desk, this one I can push back into a nice compact unit away from me. Blue's just kind of swings around like Frankenstein's arm. This just seems to be more versatile to me than that. It's also a lot lighter. With the Compass, I tried putting it on several less stable pieces of furniture (my desk isn't great for clamps) and it totally toppled over (taking the furniture with it!) due to the weight. This one is so much lighter, but still sturdy, and I was able to affix it to waaay more stuff without having it fall over. And this is CHEAP AS HECK!
It does lack a good shockmount, but even without it this hasn't been an issue for me. While there is one included, I don't even understand how it's supposed to work. I'm pretty sure it would not work with the Snowball, but maybe a thinner one?

Works well. Comes with a shock mount but it doesn't fit my yeti. It holds the mic well, it doesn't sink or fall. It is easy enough to move and adjust, however I feel like i need to be a bit careful because it's base is so small that it wiggles easily.
