I bought this for my dad for Christmas of 2020. We both have very short attention spans and like to have something to fidget with, so I thought I'd try this out. It takes a while to get used to the mechanics of it, and it can be slightly awkward, but it's definitely very fun and my dad uses it daily. It still hasn't broken and is very sturdy unlike some other fidgets i've tried. The length of the fidget requires your hand to be a certain length in order for it to make a full turn, so if you're looking for a fidget for a very young kid with small hands, maybe this isn't the best option, but otherwise it's very fun and durable "“ just what a fidget ought to be!

This product is mediocre at best as a fidget spinner for manipulating in one's hand. It's OK if you hold it between your thumb and forefinger, and swing it as a pendulum. It's interesting in that you CANNOT get it to behave periodically.

This lack of periodicity, though, is something which I find to be *unsatisfying*. It's unsettling in a fidget spinner, as it jerks your hand around in unpredictable ways.

BUT there's another way to use it that is AWESOME.

Press it up against a firm WALL with a thumb, hold it there, then spin it with your other hand. Because it is firmly anchored, the chaotic behavior is much more persistent and obvious than what occurs when you just hold it in your hand.

This product is worth buying, but you'll get the most fun out of it when you hold it against a wall.

His favorite fidget. Bought this one to replace his first one that he used daily for a few years before it came apart.

Keeps your hands, eyes and mind occupied. A welcome little distraction when you have time to kill or are feeling a little anxious. Great conversation piece too! Everyone wanted to try it out because it looks and moves like none other. A small price for the comfort and piece of mind you get from fidgeting with it.

So.... This does exactly what it says as far as function. I have problems with anxiety/restlessness at work, and this really does help. It is surprising, but having a second spin axis makes a lot of difference. (Fair warning, you will be MORE distracted for the first hour or so of using this, so try it at home first if you plan to use it for work distraction).

The unit is very durable, but I still can't tell if it is fully stainless steel as it says in the description. I am pretty convinced that it is aluminum for some parts and a low mid-low chromium steel for the rest (the end spinner is slightly magnetic, but the main body is not and a small scratch that was from manufacturing has the crystallized look of aluminum when put under a scope).

It is a very fun toy, but please be aware that you aren't going to set this on the table and watch it spin. If you aren't applying an external motion, it will stop very quickly. The balance is such that, if you set it on a table, it will rest on the edge of the button and the edge of the second spinner. This precludes stationary use.

With all of the above said, I would still recommend this as a concentration/fidget toy to anyone looking for a discrete thing to play with at work/keep in their pocket.
