My only wish is that the light was even stronger, which is why I gave it a 4, instead of 5. Otherwise, it's the best of the headlamp hats that I have purchased, including light strength and range. The batteries last a long time. I had my first had for 2-3 years and remember changing the batteries only once. The only reason I had to buy a second was that I stepped on the first and broke the battery case. I actually purchased a different type of hat after that, which I found so useless, that within a few weeks, I bought this one again. The lights shine both down and out, which is very convenient when you walk dogs every night on icy, dirt roads, in the dark, all winter. You have to be able to see both down and forward.

I want to live this hat, but it's way too small. Only covers half of my ears and I have an average head size 7 1/4 hat size. It looks great and the light is perfect but the hat is basically useless in cold weather

Bought this to replace the same exact hat that my husband loved and ruined with construction glue. The lights are bright enough for a professional contractor to find this useful (surprisingly bright!) and the hat is comfy and warm and looks great. It's also washable, which is a must. We also plan to take it camping for a hands-free way to navigate through the forest. When this one gets ruined or wears out, I'll buy him another one!
