Amazing electrical fireplace so far!

The media could not be loaded. It's has been an over two years and it's working fine so far. It was easy to install, looks great and the heating option is a nice touch. We enjoy the look and the functionality of this fireplace, we definitely recommend it!

1st, I loved the Alice60 when I bought it 3 years ago. 2nd, it looks great, the heat it puts out is great. The color options are also great.
The reason for a 1 star review: My heater is 3 years old, and just stopped working. I emailed Puraflame, and they responded that day. The product was out of the warranty period, so I had to purchase the parts from them with no guarantee on solving the issue. I was ok with that, so I paid for the parts. Now that I paid for the parts, they will not respond to my emails, they do not answer phone calls, and they don't return voicemails. I haven't received the parts or a receipt. I looked at other brands to replace my fireplace, but their dimensions are different than Puraflame. I built my wall for that unit, so I'm stuck with that unit unless I reconstruct the opening for the fireplace. Just ridiculous.
Edit: The seller responded after a few more weeks, and sent the part I needed to fix the fireplace. It works perfect again. If they were a little quicker to respond, I would put it at 5 stars. The fireplace is great though, and I'm glad it works again.

The media could not be loaded. We did some research on various electric fireplaces - we liked this one due to the control buttons being on the unit rather then just operable via remote. Puts out great heat and love the color options. We also like the various cubes and sticks that can be used as an additional decor feature. Highly recommend purchasing!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Puraflame Alice 50" fireplace. This is pretty darn realistic. There are many lighting options to choose from (flame color, crystal color "ember bed"). Great color combinations. I have the cystals off and use the orange with a random blue .
When turning unit on there are buttons on bottom right that light up (power, flame, heater,etc). Those go away after making your selection and waiting a sec or so.
I have the faux logs on top of the crystal bed.
It does have a thermostat on it. So if you set for a temp and the heater doesnt come on check to see what the thermostat is set at. Nice feature. Many units dont have that.
Heater works fine for taking the chill off our basement (400 sq ft). I dont find it very loud at all. Might sound like a fan on low setting or less. Unit is installed recessed with its own dedicated out outlet (this was done as part of a remodel).
