I was looking to install a modern, LED fireplace in my old 1950s wood-burning fireplace, and I chose this one because both the interior and exterior dimensions would make it an easy fit into the opening of the existing fireplace.

My handyman built a simple wood frame out of 2x6s, which we mounted with screws into the mortar on the sides of the fireplace. The unit's firebox easily screwed into the frame.

I had ordered a custom sheet metal surround to cover the framing, and to convert the more "square-ish" shape of the original opening to a narrow rectangle shaped for this new unit, so it would have the look of a "flush mounted" fireplace.

With the basic installation finished, we lifted the glass panel to put it in place, and it spontaneously broke. Clearly, it was either a defective panel, or it had been damaged in shipping in such a way that the damage was not obvious. Whatever the cause, our installation ground to a halt.

I called the seller's customer service number (E2E); they requested photos of the damaged item (and gave me the wrong email address to send them to!). When I called back the next day to ask if they had received the photos, they gave me the correct email, along with an "escalation ticket number". After about a week of waiting for them to answer, I decided to email the manufacturer in China directly. I immediately heard back from their customer service representative, David, who took care of EVERYTHING quickly and efficiently. The support from the manufacturer of this product was impeccable, and probably the best I've ever experienced. It completely changed my attitude towards the whole process (and really, it's not the manufacturer's fault that the seller has terrible customer service!).

My handyman finished putting in the new glass panel today, and I am SO pleased with the results! Because the manufacturer stands behind their product, and it looks good, I would highly recommend this fireplace.

Installation instructions were not the best, but the install was pretty straight forward. I built an entertainment center and had a hole cut into the 3/4" plywood to install this fireplace. I had to add to the bottom of the hole in order to support the fireplace and to help keep the face of the fireplace parallel with the face of the plywood. The end product is very nice looking and functions properly. It's not going to be primary heat but does add a bit of warmth to the immediate space. The only thing that is a downside is the fan is not unnoticeable (I'm probably being a little greedy), it's not super loud but it also seems a little louder than necessary for how much air it moves.

We have two of these. Had the first for about 3 years and it's still running just fine. Second one we just got and the size is lovely. We don't use it often admittedly although we intend to use the basement one a lot this winter. But when we do they put out nice heat via the fan. Sometimes our original one turns on by itself but I think I've figured out that was a toddler hands situation as there are touch screen buttons on the actual fireplace as well that are kinda hidden.

The media could not be loaded. Super nice and clean. Lots of options and colors. Comes in a nicely packed very heavy box. Great item!

We have loved the fireplace wall that we added to our room, this has truly transformed the space.

This fire place looks great and has many cool color settings. After a month of use in the winter the heating mechanism started making a rattling noise. We reached out to the manufacturer and received a free replacement part. The replacement did the same, a month or so in, began to rattle.

We now just use the fire place for the visual component and only use the space heater when guests aren't around.
