Sturdy with unique features

I have been a flashlight junkie since I was 5 years old (and I am now 73). My box full of old style (i.e.filament bulb) flashlights is still around for my grandchildren to play with, but like everyone else I have transitioned to the LED flashlights. This particular flashlight is unique in that at its most concentrated setting it emits a square beam. As you move the setting to wider, it quickly becomes a circle, like most flashlights. Three "aaa" batteries give an excellent beam. By pushing the on/off button on the bottom of the light you can alter the function from brighter to dimmer, from steady to rapid flash ("strobe"), and even pre-progrqammed "SOS" (emitted in Morse Code for all you Boy Scouts out there.) Very sturdy construction, too.

This set of 2 flashlights arrived on time and in good condition. At under $9, I had doubts whether they would be any good but as a lover of flashlights, I couldn't resist. They are great! Small and very substantial, they put out more light than my previous 2 favorite lights. I've always liked the zoom feature on my other flashlights and these zoom smoothly over a wide range of angles. The square light pattern on narrow beam is different but not bad and it disappears after zooming out a little. These are definitely my new favorites.

A good\better quality inexpensive "tactical" light. Just arrived today with another brand that I wanted to use for my security patrols. Frankly, what the employer provides is great, but I want my own. I couldn't justify paying $125+ for something relatively small to carry.
If you're expecting what you saw in commercials, these aren't as blinding as you think. Believe me, NONE of what you see here on the site is CLOSE to the brightness/lumens that the seller claims! (Maybe the very high end ones.)
Blah visibility at 50 yards. They're a nice, relatively bright, campground, backyard, glove compartment, "what's that noise" flashlight. Excellent value.
The "luminous rings" are fluorescent green rubber bands that come off with a thumb rub, and you'll lose 'em or just throw them away with the packaging.
Again, a nice value - and a tremendous improvement over the old halogen or krypton bulbs. Ordering some for early stocking stuffers.
Sep 17 Update - One of the light's inner o-rings came loose and smeared the inside of the lens. Can't get it open to fix and had to toss it. Questionable as to whether I'd get these again. WILL NOT be getting these for others..

These seem to be a good value. I am disappointed that one flashlight is brighter than the other. I used brand new batteries in both when I opened them, so I think this is due to a manufacturing defect. However, I am impressed with how much I can change the light beam size with the zoom feature. And these feel substantial and well made.

Solidly built, nice in hand good features - except one of the two does not work! It goes on and off randomly and periodically just dims - not happy with the purchase.
EDIT: I contacted the seller with the complaint that one flashlight did not work - without any questions I have been sent a replacement, which I received within couple of days - everything is working and I am happy! Look, defects may creep into the best of the products, but if they can be resolved without any hassle, I ma ready to put my 5 stars!
