This keyboard cover fits my Lenovo x1 Carbon 6th Gen PERFECTLY. I love it. It fitted the keyboard snuggly. I have not bothered to use the sticky pads to anchor down the cover. I can type and the cover does not shift or come off. The cover is thin and does not obstruct with the lid closed. At first I did not like the slightly different typing 'feel' of typing on the plastic cover. I have adjusted. I am happy to have this protection for my new Lenovo x1 Carbon. As I see dust on the screen and other parts of my laptop, I am relieved that that dust is not going down through the keys into the laptop. A great product.

I bought this keyboard cover for my Lenovo Carbon X1, just as I had previously for my Asus.

It's definitely not invisible, which would require a vastly thinner plastic and a tighter seal with the keys and the thin border around the keyboard. It also takes away from the wonderful typing experience of the X1, though you get used to it after awhile. The description leads you to believe that it is remarkably thin and not noticeable; well, that's not the case. Lastly, it's overpriced. I would be shocked if the cost to produce this item is even 75 cents yet they are selling it for $10.

So why do I keep buying these? Because I use my laptop all over the place and I really don't like crumbs and dirt getting between the keys. The cover also provides protection against minor spills when you're on a plane or in other circumstances where a few drops of water or Diet Coke landing on your keyboard is a real possibility. Lastly, the fit is close enough - at least for the X1 - that you really don't need to bother using the adhesive circles to hold this cover down. It's not going to fall off unless you actually turn the laptop over while open.

Overall, it's a trade-off. You lose some of the nice tactile experience of the X1 but you will keep dirt and grit from getting between your keys. For sloppy people or those frequently on the go with their laptop, it may be worth it.

This product does what I bought it for - it quiets my laptop typing as I found I was quite the loud typist in meetings. While it does muffle the the typing sound a bit, it doesn't stick very well to the keyboard. The edges of the cover don't sit flat on the keys, but I still use and it and it's still effective. I just have to press a bit harder on those keys to get the letter typed out. Overall, happy with the quieter typing but it's not the adhesion I was hoping for.

This cover is excellent. It fits my laptop keyboard perfectly, stays in place, and helps keep all the crumbs I produce out of my computer.

My only complaint is that it slightly stiffens the key touch, which requires more effort from my keystrokes and slightly affects my typing time.

I have used this for several months now, and I find I have adjusted, but I understand that for some, this would be a dealbreaker. I would prefer to type without the cover, but, a) it protects the keys from me wearing them out with my learned-on-a-manual-typewriter aggressive typing (I had to replace my laptop keyboard because I wore LITERAL holes in the keys), and b) I find that my desire to protect my keyboard from myself and my computer from crumbs and other debris is greater than my desire to type without the cover.

This cover really is an excellent choice for me, and I am quite pleased with it.

This is the best keyboard cover I've used in terms of typing experience. As other reviewers noted, I wish that the cover extended an extra 1/8-1/4" on all sides to cover the edges of the keyboard tray.
