This tap wrench is well made. It fits the square end on m3 taps to M8 taps. The chuck secures the tap precisely. The ratchet is easily selectable and works smoothly.

Large set of taps and dies lost, and needed to renew threads in cheap metal. Worked perfectly for that purpose, but doubt they would go very far if had to tap threads in stainless steel. Clearly not highest quality.

Bought a slide out cabinet storage solution, and several of the holes wasn't threaded at the factory. Of course it was in a size I didn't have and all the local hardwares stores either didn't have it or it was only in kits that had tons of sizes I already had and cost nearly $100. Amazon to the rescue. For the price of one metric tap at local stores it came with 5 and the holder. Quality is surprisingly good and depite cutting threads into very hard stainless steel, the tap I needed looked brand new after tapping and chasing all holes. Includes the most common smaller metric sizes, and a very secure easy to use holder. Really a lifesaver.

The whole ratchet idea is ok, but it makes the tool a bit wobbly and not too accurate. Besides you usually want to back it out a few threads during the tapping and it makes it tougher. Also the taps that come with are not too great. After tapping like 3 holes in aluminum they were done.
