My Two Panamas store well in this hat box.

This hat box has been designed very well, I agree with every point that the previous poster made. In mine, I store two Panamas and when I next travel, even though I could easily & happily use it as carry-on luggage I will place this hat box into a larger suitcase and feel secure in the knowledge that they aren't getting destroyed. Most trilbys, fedoras or Panamas should sit well in here.

This unit is very nice. Well made and easy to use. I put 2 hats inside it (one inside the other) and they arrived unscathed. It was large enough for a panama style fedora and a trilby. It looks nice with a velvety exterior. The case itself is kind of big. It's about the size of a medium backpack. It comes with straps so you can make it into a backpack. It has d rings on the case in various locations so you can secure it to another bag if you want. The zippers are big and easy to operate. I was a little worried about packing the case but there was only 1 way to find out how tough the case was. I actually packed the whole case inside my checked suitcase and it made the trip to Cabo San Lucas from San Francisco perfectly. I am very pleased with this purchase.
