I purchased a cheap mongoose bike and it came with horrible quality rotors that surged and pulsed when you held brakes making it extremely unsafe to brake. I used these and the pulse is completely gone. Honestly, the front doesn't seem to hold as hard but I need to do some more adjusting. I am very happy with them.

Looks very nice and is great, unless you want to stop. I put these on my cyclocross bike with Sram road cable disc breaks. I expected them to need 20 miles or so to burn off any oil and stop squealing. After the first ride they are still very slow to stop. When I ordered them I was expecting them to wear along the outer stepped ring. The problem is the pads only hit them between the outer and inner rings and only a very small amount of the disc hits the pads. They are also much thinner then the stock disc and one of them came not flat. I was able to bend it a little so it did not rub the pads but its not totally flat, like my stock ones were. I ended up putting the stock ones back on and will put these on my back up wheelset.

Edit - After I put my old rotor on my front one was now not true either. Looks like my new front hub is not totally flat. I was able to bend it into true but my original assessment of these rotors are not in true is incorrect. They are in true, they just don't stop very well. It says on the package they are only for cross country and trail riding, not for lift or DH riding. A cyclocross bike shouldn't need that much power, they just need to work well wet and in mud. Maybe its just my calipers are not a good fit for these. My old rotors stop great.
