Fabric needs to be wider for attaching to another surface. I'm using this to replace a failed zipper on my clearspan hay shed. Definitely could be at least an inch more Fabric for better attachment.

Worked great. We installed it on a huge cover meant to protect our patio table and chairs. Why? Our patio table has a 13 foot diameter teak wood and canvas umbrella that installs thru a hole in the center of our 8 foot glass top patio table. We have a cover for the umbrella and one for the table and chairs. The cover we purchased to protect the table and chairs does not have a hole in it for the umbrella pole. Hence the problem. Even if the table cover had a hole for the umbrella pole, the umbrella weighs a ton! Trying to lift it above the table top while holding it vertically and then lower it down thru the hole in the center of the table top takes two strong people with long arms. We're getting to old for the hassle. So... I cut a hole in the center of table cover large enough for the umbrella pole, as well as a cut running from the hole down to the bottom edge of the table cover. Then we installed the zipper running from the bottom edge of the cover up to the hole so we can zip and unzip it like an overcoat. (see photo) Now we simply wrap the cover around the table and chairs and zip it up. Makes putting the table cover on every winter a piece of cake and with no need to remove the umbrella anymore!

This zipper is perfect for my needs. I wanted something to add to a busy board for my son and he's been obsessed with zippers lately. This works perfectly for him. It's nice and chunky so it's easy for his little fingers to grab and it's very sturdy. The board has been up for a few days and while some things are already seeing wear, this zipper is holding up great. 10/10 would definitely buy again.
