I bought these so I could teach my 6 yr old nephew who had just started using them in class. They work perfectly. They have enough weight to feel like regular nunchaku. They are sufficiently padded to properly protect the user. (I tested that function more than I'd care to admit)

I hate to ever review low. However, I am sure this product is good for someone else, but not myself. There is only one, I totally missed that it wasn't a set. Also, its a bit smaller and chunkier than I was expecting. Better for a child than as practice for an adult.
