It does it's job, and Orbits are pretty tough, or so it seems.

Excellent long lasting product
Easy to install, solid housing, good longevity (although not as much as brass), good price

When looking to replace or add on to your irrigation system - this is pretty much the standard for what you should be using (cost effective as well).
There are a couple varieties of the same product - you can go with a brass version which is all metal (except for the solenoid which generally is in a plastic housing), or you can go with these which are very durable but won't have as long of a working life.
In my case, this is a replacement product for a cracked and leaking irrigation valve. Installation is very simple but does require turning off the water to the valve in some form or fashion. I turned the water off to the house because that's the closest shut off point for the system. After removing the old system this one was easy to install. Be mindful of the wires on your solenoid as you're installing so they don't get messed up or dirty.
This inline valve is pretty self-explanatory - there's an in and out and the valve is electronically controlled. It was a snap to just wire this up to the existing system (we have a Rachio controlled setup), turn the water back on to the house and test it. One thing we did notice is that if you screw the solenoid down too tight it will sometimes prevent the system from working. Give it a slight unscrew just enough to let it activate and it seems to be OK.
No leaks around the screwed down portion (which is where my previous leak was) and the water flows just fine. Worked perfectly the first time.
Enjoy your new product!
