Giving this a four star review because the smell when opening the package is very harsh. It smells like dye and ink. It gave me a slight headache. I put it in the washing machine with some scented pods and the smell went away. It is a quality tapestry. I stay in a dorm and my walls are really ugly. Covered all the snatches it had from the previous person who stayed here. The colors are vivid and the stitching is great. I would buy again.

When I first received this item, it had a very strong chemical/packaging smell to it. It turned me off, but it was really beautiful so I decided to give it a chance. After a couple of hours, the smell went away and I hung it up on the wall. The colors are rich and vivid, and a little bit darker than the picture. However, it is visually appealing and goes well with dark green furniture. It also looks great in photos :)

I love the Indian mandala so this spread is great for me. It's just what I wanted. The spread I had in undergrad was hand woven Gandhi style. This spread is manufactured by machine. I prefer the handwoven touch but I understand it's impossible to find those now. It's very vibrant, and colorful. Love it on my bed and lightweight for hot summer nights. When it first arrives the cotton is very coarse feeling because of the density of color. I have not washed it yet so I don't know how the color holds up and whether the colors fade. I would wash it t separately the first time just in case the dye runs. I presume the cotton would soften at that point. Otherwise very nice bedspread. Exceptional value for the full fledged unique design for the price.

Absolutely LOVE this! Originally bought this as a table cloth... I love the way it looks so much, I'm going to buy 6 more to use as curtains, for my sliding glass doors! (Perfect 84" curtain length)
Definitely needs to be washed to remove extra dye and manufacturing odors (I wouldn't dare put it in the dryer, as it is 100% cotton.).

I got this to decorate a wall in my office. I wanted something that was fairly inexpensive but also bright as my desk is in a room with no windows. This product arrived smelling horrible - like it had been saturated by chemicals. I left it outside to air out for two days then brought it to work and hung it up. My office doesn't have great ventilation and I ended up coughing and having a headache due to the smell. I brought it home and washed it three times (with a color catcher each time to absorb the excess dye). After three washes on cold, with only the fabric in the washer, it shrank a bit in dimension and still had a faint smell. I air dried it and used Febreeze to try and lessen the smell. After I hung it up at work again it took about a month before I could no longer smell it at all. I do receive compliments on how bright it is - folks are really drawn to it. The fabric, however, is pretty itchy. I couldn't imagine putting this next to my skin (on a bed or a couch), but it works just fine in my office space. All in all, I wouldn't buy this again and instead would look for something from a different seller.
