My physical therapist had a similar rollers and I could feel the knots in my thighs and my calves when she would use it. I don't go to her anymore so I bought one just like hers but it was flat so I was interested in trying this textured roller, thinking it would be better. I feel it works really well, and you know it's working when you can find that tender knot in your muscle. My physical therapist said to also warm your leg in a heating pad before rolling to relax the muscle and then the roller could be more effective at loosening that knot. I feel like I have to use less pressure because of the textured massagers on this roller. Due to its shape, I can lay it on the bed and then lay my calf across it and roll back and forth, which really works that tender spot.

For the price, it's a very well-made roller, very sturdy.

This is a basic "rolling massager" that you can use to roll up and down your legs or arms. It's basic because it does little more than relax your muscles slightly. We tried it out a few times, but didn't find it helped that much. Both me and my husband are not prone to muscle pain in our legs though.

Overall, it's sturdy construction and you can hide it away easily since it's not that big. We might try what another reviewer suggested, and use it after heating pads if we do suffer from muscle cramping/pain.

This massage roller is inexpensive, sturdy and fun to use on yourself or another person. It feels good and provides tingly skin feedback that hands cannot. It's also fun to be the person wielding it; it's like rolling out cookie dough if you're using it on someone else's back. However, it can't apply pressure as deeply or in as focused a way as a massage therapists' hands can, so as far as therapeutic benefits go, it's better for limbs than backs.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product, but I actually turned out to like it. It was useful for rolling over legs and arms, and with someone to assist can be used on back and backside. Of course it is no substitute for a real massage, but it did provide some benefit.

This massage roller definitely feels good. As soon as I got this in my hands I started to roll it over my thigh and it felt great. The handles have a rubber grip and feel comfortable in my hands. There are only 4 rollers on this one, but a longer one with about 6 total rollers would be nice. However, additional rollers would only be when massage wider body parts like your back. Works great and I plan to have someone massaging my back very soon. Made in China.
