This adapter has been about a 50/50 chance for me of functioning properly. Sometimes it registers as an unsupported device and either doesn't charge or periodically pauses audio (podcasts, spotify, etc) for no apparent reason. I really like the idea of this adapter but unfortunately it simply isn't as reliable as I'd like.

I have a very hard time believing that many of these reviews are legit. Go read the other reviews (if there are any!) from most of these people and you'll see what I mean. Amazon has been taken over by fake reviews and it's never so apparent as with electronic devices like these.
This adapter kind of worked for a few nights (I need to charge my iPhone at night AND listen to audio as I fall asleep), but it hasn't worked reliably since. In fact, now it won't work at all. Nine times out of ten "” at least "” the audio comes out of the phone speakers as if there wasn't a headset plugged in. When the charging cable is plugged in it constantly jumps between charging and not charging "” like every 1-5 seconds "” each time making the little beep and/or vibration. When it seems to be working (which is hasn't in over a month now) i wake up to find that my phone hasn't charged. Very frustrating.
I really need something like this given the nighttime routine I have developed over the years. I wish it wasn't so hard to trust Amazon reviews these days.
