Leak Saver Direct Inject UV - Refrigerant Leak Sealer with Added UV Dye to Detect Large Leaks - for AC, Refrigeration, and Automotive Systems Up to 5 Tons - Compatible with All Refrigerants

Key features
- •THE EASIEST INJECTION METHOD: No more fussing with messy syringes, hoses, or pressurized cans. The Leak Saver injects directly and easily into the system with a basic manifold gauge set or even easier with our Leak Shot Injection Kits. Note: for automotive systems, you will still need the standard 134A to 1/4" charging adapter. Mini-splits may require a 5/16" to 1/4" charging adapter.
- •MORE THAN 3 MILLION UNITS SOLD SINCE 2015: The Leak Saver can permanently seal small refrigerant leaks where the complete refrigerant charge is not lost within 72 hours. It's similar to how blood in your body reacts to a cut. When a leak occurs, the Leak Saver reacts with the air and moisture at the leak site to permanently seal the leak. When used for preventative maintenance, the active ingredient circulates safely in the system to seal future leaks.
- •WITH ADDED UV DYE FOR FINDING LARGE LEAKS: Seal it or find it! If you have a leak that is simply too large for leak sealants to seal, the added UV Dye will light up brightly at the leak site when using a UV flashlight.
- •COMPATIBLE WITH ALL SYSTEMS AND REFRIGERANTS: : The Leak Saver UV is compatible with all systems, refrigerants (except ammonia), and oils. It is great for central air conditioners, car and automotive air conditioners, refrigerators, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, commercial refrigeration systems, micro channel coils and more. It also works with all refrigerants including R410A Freon, R22 and replacements, R134A, r1234yf, R404A, R290, R600a, and more.
- •YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR PRIORITY: We stand behind the effectiveness 100%. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your product, please contact us and we will make it right.

Every single mini split I had seems to leak a tiny little bit from somewhere. It's getting to the point when I install one of these I just shoot it in for preventative maintenance. I have rental houses with these units in there. If you have a leak that takes half a year to leak this will seal it no problem. If you're freon comes out in a couple days this will not help. It's literally for small leaks. For instance you have a small coil leak that you can't find or perhaps the fittings are leaking. The seals it. Been using this for years and I've never had to put a second shot in anytime. I did accidentally shoot it all over the yard when I bumped the valve on my freon gauges and that ticked me off but that was my own fault. Make sure you follow the directions on how to put it in and you will love this product. I would use again and again but I hope I don't have to.
Easy to use and it does the job.

I like how easy it is to use. Provides leak detection and leak fixing.
Very easy to use

I recently purchased the leak saver sealer with UV dye along with the leak shot CO2 injector. It couldn't have been easier to use. This is the way to go if your a DIY type like me. It's a little early to tell whether or not the product will work but I'm confident but at least with the UV dye added, the leak will reveal iself and hopefully seal it as well. The leak I have is very small but I don't know where it is. It only loses a couple maybe two to three pounds so once I have I have it recharged spend time will tell it's effectiveness but I'm really hoping this works as it will save me a ton of money getting a new unit and keeping this old one running for a bit longer.
Very straightforward to use, time will tell if it works ...

I used this on an Active Aqua AACH25 chiller that I use for fermentation temp control in my home brewery. The chiller developed a leak after 2 1/2 years and wouldn't cool. I was about to drop several hundred $ on a new chiller when I found some YouTube videos showing how to add refrigerant to small refrigerators. I used the Supco BPV31D bullet piercing valve to tap into the low pressure side freon line and refill the R134A refrigerant with a can tap and gauge (all purchased on Amazon), but after 4-6 weeks the freon pressure was low again so I was happy to find this product.
The female end of the Leak Saver connected directly to the BPV31D, and the hose for the can tap and gauge connected directly to the male side of the Leak Saver UV. With the chiller turned off, I had enough pressure in the system to do a brief purge of the connection between the leak saver and the BPV, and then purged the connection between the can tap / gauge hose and the leak saver with freon from the can. I then pressurized the hose from the can with the BPV closed, closed the valve to the can and opened the valve on the BPV. That's all it took to empty the Leak Saver UV into my chiller's freon line. I powered up the chiller and proceeded to top off the freon to the desired pressure right through the leak saver, let the system run for an hour, closed the valve on the BPV and butttoned everything back up. It's been 2 weeks, the chiller is working great and the compressor is running quieter than ever.
I will update this review in a few months to report on whether my slow leak was fixed with the Leak Saver UV.

This is the second batch of Refrigerant Leak Sealers that I've used. I was losing a lot of freon from 2 systems. The initial treatments stopped the leaks almost completely. After a couple of years, one system started to leak a little. Another treatment stopped that as well. Now it's several years later and another treatment has boths systems working great and leak-free. The HVAC company charges $100-$150 per treatment for a very similar product. My builder-grade AC systems are almost 20 years old. Ours is the only home in our development that hasn't had to replace the AC systems. You do need a a basic manifold gauge set or injection kit, but it's simple to use.
