I put this Crucial 2TB SSD in my PS4 that has been giving me problems for the past few months. It would disconnect from game servers mid game or just fail to connect when loading the game.
I watched a few readily available videos explaining the process before starting. It's really simple as long as you follow instructions exactly. Only issue I had was getting sound out of the PS4 to my surround sound system. It was just a minor setting or hdmi connection problem. Fixing the sound issue took longer than the OS and SSD installation by far. Took a couple of hours to update the game backups, then I was in business.
Game play seems smoother and more fluid than before. It definitely boots up faster and games load quickly which is an improvement. Can't speak to longevity as I'm on day one of install. I know Crucial has a well earned reputation for quality parts. I'm sure mine will be the same.
Time will tell, but for now I'm very pleased with this purchase.

After doing much research, I bought this for my 4K security system and it has worked great for my needs. Access is fast and with so many events recorded even at such high quality, it hasn't failed to impress me. I have over 2,000 recordings with a minimum of ten seconds each and it looks like it barely made a dent on the drive. If you're looking for storage for your security system, always get more storage than you think you need. That is why I bought the 2TB instead of 1TB which is what I was originally planning on getting based off of price. I just waited for a sale to occur. ;)

Of course going from a mechanical Disk Drive to a Solid State Drive (SSD) is much like getting a new PC. So much faster. Installed the Crucial Drive into a Sabrent USB adapter. Plugged it in and did a Disk initialization and format. Then used Acronis to do a Clone copy. Worked like a Champ. Moved the Crucial SSD to my HP Laptop, booted up, and good to go. Using the old Disk for doing backups (Cloning). I am assuming the Crucial SSD will be very reliable. Crucial tools don't work as for some reason, the controller in my HP Laptop reports as a RAID controller. I haven't determined "Why"? Great SSD, try it, you'll like it.
