Saved me a lot of headaches with 5.2 setup

I have an unusual system where I have a Logitech Z5500 with a second sub added via DB9. In the past as soon as I powered on the second unit it would always hum loudly at a high frequency. I tried to use a hum eliminator on the same circuit with no luck. Tried plugging both subs into the same power strip and still had the issue. Swapped what I thought was a bad sub with a backup unit and you guessed it same hum. So I tried an isolation transformer thinking surely having clean power to the unit would resolve the issue and yet again no dice. So I decided to replace the cable between the two subs with a heavily shielded unit with ferrite cores, this did help some but the hum persisted. Finally after plugging this unit into the same power strip as my subs the hum is gone permanently. I could not be happier, now it does seem to mute the clarity of the mids somewhat so that is something to consider. I recommend checking your sockets for a hot neutral or having an electrician check for ground loops around the house to see if you have really dirty power. Living in an apartment I do not have the luxury or having the electrical system be modified or replaced. I think if you really need to kill all sound issues the Puritan audio PSM 156 is a good alternative albeit a very $$$$ one.

I'm not surprised that it worked for us, since our power supply is not very clean and even though I use a Furman power conditioner, I felt there was more that could be done. I've tried plugging and unplugging it several times. With the iPurifier in, I get more detail and more of the subtle micro dynamics. It's enough of an improvement that I may buy another one. If your power and/or your power conditioner is clean enough, then you might not hear a difference, but I have a feeling that most people will.

This is a prescription, not vitamin supplemental. If you are healthy, don't take it.

I actually didn't feel I had much noise in my power circuit, but as an audiophile, who doesn't want the sound quality to be improved a little? However, this product is not something that you can see effect if your power circuit has no significant noise. I tested seriously with and without it, there is NO ANY noticeable difference. That doesn't mean this product has no effect, it must because my power is clean enough. So, the take out is: if your power is clean, don't bother to use this. I returned it.

Astonishing what three on my AV family room AC line have done. Placed in three separate outlet areas to isolate and purify against LED lamps, WiFi router, Schumann generator DC supplies, and incoming mouse from appliances, external noise etc around our home including additional DC supplies in various rooms. Astonishing reduction in noise on my reference KURO plasma and AV system alone. Each u it reduces noise, EMI, RF and God know what else on the line. Awaiting time to be able to listen to my reference tube audio system this weekend and will update after that.
In the meantime, my plasma looks astonishing. Every area one can discuss has been shockingly improved. Color clarity and quality, color "pop", image smoothness, image depth clarity, black level superb, and an apparent scrubbing of the glass that further reduces a heretofore smearing and grunge between you and the image allowing the appearance to look purer and cleaner than Ive ever experienced in 12 years of owning it. You can't ask for more.
Now, just awaiting time to spend with my reference audiophile system this weekend which is the real acids test.

The reduction of noise floor by this little product was very noticeable from the darkened background. For some time, I had used a Tripp-Lite Isobar to suppress the EMI from the mains power for my iMac and DAC (luckily I had no hissing or humming issues). The result was mediocre. More than two months ago, I bought my first AC iPurifier for a try. When I plugged it into the Isobar, I immediately noticed a darker sound background. Encouraged, I bought another unit to use with the powered speakers. I plugged the unit in the vacant outlet in a 3-way adapter and then plugged the adapter into a wall-outlet. I was pleased that the improvement in sound quality continued. Two weeks ago, I replaced the Isobar with a PowerQuest 2 and found them still effective in a more demanding combination. Excellent.

P.S. The placement of two AC iPurifiers with a PowerQuest-2 was one on the adjacent wall-outlet and the other on PQ2 between the analog and digital devices, as recommended by iFi Audio.

P.S. Plugging one next to the refrigerator, the humming stopped immediately. The sudden quietness made me nervous before I realized what was happening.
