Very nice standalone speedo for a boat or other movable conveyance. I have one in a panel visible from my cockpit and it is very useful for speed/energy sea trials on my electric boat as I fiddle with things. It would be nice to have bluetooth control of backlight and stuff, and I should expect that for the price, so I took off one star. Otherwise a nice piece of gear.

Speedometer has performed as promised good instructions easy to install

I use the item on my 24ft sailboat. So far it works reliable. However, the point I'm quite disappointed about is the frequency of updating the current speed. My phone App which also uses the GPS signal is far more responsive by constantly updating the speed whereas this one updates every 10sec or so. I would have expected a gps speedometer does an equally good job as a phone app. Also the reading in light conditions below 2knots doesn't work. It constantly jumps between 0 and 2knots whereas the phone provides a continuous update. I would have thought showing the current speed is the very nature of a speedometer. As such just 2 stars considering my phone provide a more accorate reading.
