Great size, quality materials, love the sliding table, but one battery is NOT enough.
Dale E. Hazelton•March 24, 2018
I love it and I don't. I had a marble mosaic floor tile job to do in a bathroom and I have a snap cutter which is worthless on marble, a large bridge saw which means setting up outdoors and a little Plasplugs table type saw with a teeny weeny table. I saw this saw and decided to buy it at the home center based on the sliding table and generous table top. I made some practice cuts and agree with the other reviewer who said that water spray is really a non issue with this saw. I got about half the bathroom done when the fully charged battery went dead. I bought a spare 1.5 amp hour battery and put that in and started charging the big battery. NOTE: The charger is NOT a fast charger - if you use this saw as a contractor you will definitely want at least 2 of the larger batteries charged and ready to go! I played battery roulette all afternoon to finish my tile job. I really didn't want to buy extra large batteries because I tile only once in a while and I'm already heavily invested in Dewalt (hey, Stanley B&D - can you make your own brands cross-compatible? Pretty please?).
This would be a great tile saw for a homeowner who doesn't have to worry about a deadline, or a contractor who mainly uses a snap cutter and needs to cut a few tiles around door ways and cabinets. I do like this saw a lot but understand it's limitations. If you are already invested in Porter Cable this is a no brainer. I'll probably keep this because there really is no other saw with this type of sliding table that isn't an overhead bridge type saw or the type with what is essentially a hand grinder mounted overhead.
If you go for this just know - YOU DO NOT GET A FAST CHARGER. You may be waiting around a bit to finish your tile job.

The best part of this saw is its water management though

I am a tile contractor who installs and uses tile tools every day of the work week. This new saw by Porter Cable is an absolute game changer for any residential tile installer. This saw has NO issues cutting any type of ceramic tile, or a porcelain tile around 3/8". The best part of this saw is its water management though. Most table top tile saws are very very messy and wet. This saw absolutely changes those problems. You can use this saw inside a finished home no problem. Water spill is absolutely minimal at most. Put the saw on top of a towel and you will have nothing to clean up for the day. The operation also lasts a good time. I had no issues getting a full day of backsplash cuts on one battery. With two or three of the 20v MAXX batteries and you will never have any down time. I couldn't recommend this saw enough.

I havent had a chance to use it yet but the quality is top notch and features are nice. The battery indicator is a good feature i thought was missing on other porter cable 20v products. The battery charger is also different than the standard charger, it is fairly lightweight and has a convenient handle. Will update after upcoming tile work.
