I have purchase 2 Wahl Professional- Beret trimmers since 1975 when I first started to trim my husband's beard and hair. The rechargeable batteries finally became unchargeable and I am now purchasing my third Beret trimmer. They were fine trimmers that lasted me 48 years! It is very quiet and fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and the replaceable blade lasts just as long. The combs that come with his trimmer are perfect for trimming all lengths of men's hair. Keep it oiled and it will continue to perform well. I highly recommend this model.
Surprisingly effective for a quiet trimmer

When I first turned this trimmer on after charging it, I was not expecting much. It's fairly quiet, as advertised, but it doesn't sound like it has much trimming power compared to some of Wahl's other trimmers. I bought this to replace my old Wahl Diamond Edge trimmer which was loud but great at cutting through some of my tougher beard/neck hairs. Other trimmers I've tried have not managed to compete with that Wahl model - but the Beret model is pretty dang close! The Beret is quiet yet still manages a fairly close trim while being gentle on my skin. My neck is particularly sensitive, and the Beret gives me an easy shave without irritation.
Only had it for a couple weeks, but I already see myself using this model long-term. Will update this review if this changes.
