Very sharp. Works like every other clipper should (for normal or thick nails).

I purchased this because of the positive reviews, and in spite of the negatives.
I could not be happier. It is sharp. It actually cuts through the nail instead of pinching it off. This leaves a cleaner edge which does not always need subsequent filing. The jaws open wide, which does help for positioning.
For those who complain that they cut themselves, consider: a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one. Use sense. Because the jaws are sharp, you do not need as much force to cut, so cut more slowly and STOP (and re-position) if you feel pain!
I consider this the best nail clipper I've ever purchased.

With pretty severely arthritic thumbs, cutting any kind of nail is difficult. These are great. I would highly recommend them.
No Direct Experience With Clippers But They're Reportedly Quite Good

I think I like the clippers, and would love to give a higher rating; however, they were a gift for someone who'd been unable to find clippers that would work on his thickened toenails. I've not personally used them, but he says they're the best he's ever used. He was impressed by how well the file works too. I liked the light weight, and they certainly appear to be very sharp.
Side Note: For some reason, the tin container was badly damaged, but it didn't affect the esthetic nor functionality of the product itself. The gray velour drawstring pouch holder is a nice touch.
Though I can't give an honest 5-star review, due to having only seen and not used the clippers myself, next time I order clippers for me, it will definitely be this Leryeu.

I bought these for my son and he loves them. He says they cut through nails very smoothly, and the way the handles are shaped make them easier to hold onto than other clippers. He has thanked me for them so many times, I'm thinking about getting a pair for myself.

This item works great. I use it on my 4 dogs to clip their nails. It is awesome. Goes right through the thick nails. I have 2 small and 2 medium dogs.
