I'm seeing a lot of danger on these reviews.
Crimping 101:
- ALWAYS metal to metal. Peel back pvc jacket as some of the reviews citing "˜the wire won't go in' is most likely due to that. There are not "˜half sizes'. The size is for the steel without jacket, thus it will be larger with the jacket.
DO NOT use a 1/8" sleeve to solve your issues with the coated 1/16" not fitting. It doesn't work that way.
DO NOT "˜tighten the crimp' by using 1/8" jaw and then going to 1/16", it doesn't work that way. It's a one shot. You get the crimp or you don't. DO NOT double crimp.
ALWAYS use a crimping gauge to ensure it is not too tigh, or too loose. Crimps will maintain 90-100% efficiency PROVIDED they are done properly.
ALWAYS crimp from one direction to another, end, middle, end. DO NOT crimp ends first then middle as that blows out your outside crimps.
There are resources online with specific instuctions. Iweiss I assume has them. Don't guess if this is above people.
