I love the skirt however I would suggest that you order at least one probably two sizes larger than required. I purchased this for my granddaughter who is slim to athletic build who usually wears a 6 to 7 she even fits into some of her size 5 clothes but the 6X was easily a size and a half too small.

Bought 10 slim and my 10 yr old on the slender side. Somewhat large but are able to use the adjustable tabs on the sides of the skorts. No problems ever when shopping at The Children's place.

Love this skort and will wear as part of a school uniform. It's soft, has an elastic adjustable waistband and fits true to size. Zip closure on the side. I ordered the 6Slim for my 6 1/2 year old 1st grade daughter and still had to adjust the waist b/c she's very thin and tall. The length is appropriate (falls below her fingertips) and we sometimes have trouble in this area b/c I sometimes have to order a size down due to her thin waist and a skort may be too short. I love the attached shorts, they are a different material than the skirt and don't fit too snug but just right. The dark khaki color shown on Amazon is true to the color which arrived. I have placed a second skirt in my cart. Looks cute with the "spirit wear" t-shirt she can wear for her school. As long as she likes it all is well with the world.

I love this skirt! It's the perfect length & fit! The material is very nice too. My daughter is almost 6 in this picture and the size 6 slim fit her just right.

Just got this skort for my 5 year old daughter and I love it. Got a size 5 and it fits as expected as she normally is a Xsmall or 5/6 in children's sizes. The material is soft and the zipper on the side is easy for her to pull up & down on her own. I'm probably going to order another one.
