Works in a Heatilator fireplace
Billy D✓ Verified Purchase•September 29, 2023
Replaced burned out thermocouple in a home Heatilator gas (propane) fireplace. I wouldn't call it "easy" but if you're reasonably handy around the house, it's doable just a bit tedious. Have to disassemble logs, burner and part of housing to get access to the pilot light/thermocouple assembly.
The supplied adapters were adequate to appropriately position the thermocouple in the pilot light flame, though it did require a bit of thinking to see exactly how to use them.
Hardest part of installation was attaching the "other end" of the device to the back of the gas controller. Basically had to do it blind as the socket is on the back of the controller. Eventually with patience, I got it attached.
Fireplace fixed and working.

The old one (23 years) seemed to not work anymore.
Replacement did not help, the problem was with solenoid.
But at least now I have a new Thermocouple for the years to come,
