This is a cool flame bulb. We use a lot of different types of lights and plugs in our house because of all the automation we are trying to do with Alexa. This one caught my attention and we want to use it outdoors. This is a flickering type of light that mimics a tiki torch. We use tiki torches for evening grilling parties outdoors. This time we will replace it with this bulb. It is a single mode and the light is good, but can be annoying to some people especially dealing with issues like epilepsy.

This light has a flame that would be consistent with a calcium flame (BRIGHT ORANGE RED). I was expecting it to be a little more yellow and not so red but it still has a cool look to it. They recommend having it in a frosted glass to help maximize the effect and I would have to agree with them since it did not look quite the way I wanted to in just a seeded glass container. Overall, it is a cool product that I enjoy and am excited to show off once I finally spray the container with a frosted finish.

I bought this light bulb because wanted to compare it to another flame light bulb that I had used several years ago and see how far the technology had come along in the years since then and I am pleased that I did. It looks a lot more realistic than the other one and doesn't get as hot as the other one did either. I haven't decided whether I am going to leave it on the porch where I think it looks best or in one of the kids' rooms because they want to keep it. I may end up buying more of these because where one of them looks good; I'll bet a row of 3 or 4 of them would look even better.

Pretty cool and looks like flames or as close as you can get to them LOL Its bigger than I thought but that's OK, I tried it in my living room light and front yard light, and it looks good, Its too bright for inside lol but had to try. Outside though it looks really good, and the glow on my window looked like real flames. I did turn it upside down and it did rotate as it says it would, I will be using this for Halloween!! I already have my idea ready in my head. If you had a path with lights these would look sweet!!

The switch design is really user friendly. To change between 3 modes, just turn on and off the switch. What I like is that when turn off for a while, the mode will go back to flame mode. In brief, everytime I turn it on, the mode will start from flame mode.
Initially, I thought the color is toward orange. But after installation and turn on during the night, it looks kinda real. Love it!
