LIVE AND LEARN............Motorized bike engine kit replacement parts.
Jason & Julie•March 19, 2018
In my estimation, unless a person has no other choice and are down on the road, should one even attempt to use this kit.
PROBLEM: the release lever and the release shaft are both steel. There are splines on the shaft and in the lever, HOWEVER, there was a failure to completely cut the splines on the lever; only with lots of small file work will one be able to install the lever onto the shaft... and you better hope it is in the correct position. The best solution may be a one time install with a big hammer.
PROBLEM: In the (chain) gear, there are threads for installing a puller, (that little puller comes with the original engine kits, at least In two kits I have purchased, it did..) The threads in this replacement gear are practically nonexistent. Once installed, it is doubtful that it could be removed with a puller, and prying does not work, (as per experience.)
And, like the original cover, the bearing surface for the release shaft is not a close fit, not even. It could have been drilled and reamed, but a big enough drill only was used to prevent interference. SLOPPY IN THE EXTREME!
I just set this kit aside. I had hoped the pieces would be better than the pieces on that were installed on the engine that I had, but they appear to be worse. VERY DISAPPOINTING. But, what should one expect for under $10. ???????? Something that might really work??????

Poor quality aluminum, cheaply made cover
Dale B.•March 1, 2018
Its a great price & it was all there. It will all work, just poor quality in the cover. Which is really the main part that i needed. But i didn't trust it, so i didn't use it. I waited until i could order another one, from another company. I did use the cluth arm.
