I didn't know what to expect in ordering this syrup. I am enjoying it and might reorder (pricey), and it's tasty. All that said, it doesn't taste like maple syrup "” it has a flavor that more or less reminds you of maple, but it's not maple. The consistency is also not that of maple syrup "” it's thick and too unctuous, not like maple syrup.
Any product that is supposed to be a replica of the "real thing" will get compared to the original. This product is good enough to stand on its own feet, and I'm using it as I would maple ayrup. I've stopped expecting it to be maple syrup, but I'm enjoying it a lot "¦ just on its own terms.

Bought this to reduce our carb intake, and it tastes great. Good consistency. Not inexpensive though, like most foods that are good for you (vs. low-cost stuff that has tradeoffs).
LOL on "Versatility" rating Amazon asks in the rating process. Since there are likely adventurous use-cases for syrup besides pancakes/waffles (not judging, or admitting anything), I imagine using this for those purposes would be just as fun with a little less carb guilt. Enjoy!

I'm always really nervous when I try a sugar-free syrup. They're NOT cheap. $9 for a bottle is pretty pricey, and the bottle is quite small. But let me tell you, I do not for one second regret this purchase! Unlike EVERY other sugar-free maple syrup I've tried, this one is thick and delicious and tastes almost exactly like regular pancake syrup. And not the icky fake pancake syrups that taste like chemicals, but the good stuff! I am very, very pleased. Perfect thickness. Sweet, but not sickeningly so. Unless they break my heart and stop making this or drastically change the recipe, there will never be a time that this stuff is NOT in my house. I should have expected nothing less from ChocZero, the only company I've found to get sugar-free white chocolate right. Can I buy stock in ChocZero?

I love the flavor of maple syrup, but don't love the number of carbs, so I researched keto syrups and this one had good reviews. For a dessert or snack, I toast my zero carb Hawaiian bread, slather it with butter, drizzle just the right amount of ChocZero syrup on it, then cut it in 4ths, and gobble it up! Yum!
