Used for Whirlpool WHES44 water softener tune up
Kevin✓ Verified Purchase•January 27, 2024
Used this resin to tune-up my 10 year old Whirlpool WHES44 that reduced my house water pressure from 70 PSI to around 20 PSI due to worn out resin clogging the filter. My water softener is now running like it's brand new again and water is super soft.
Make sure you use a gravel base in the resin tank before you refill with resin. Dont skip this step!

This resin replacement choice was a good replacement risen for the water softener! The item was well packed and no damage or tears in the bag on arrival. Easy to use if you prepare to take your time and not try just to pour it in from the bag. The risen is just wet enough to stick together and you must use a funnel and pour in slowly with a cup of some kind. Resin has no smell, looks a golden brown and slippery so take your time.
Make sure it's a product form the usa.

Plenty of resin for most home water softeners

We have a Culligan water softener that came with a home that we purchased. Resins can last for 10-20 years. However, the resin in our water softener appeared to be at least 15-years old according to our records, so we decided to replace it ourselves. We replaced the contents of the water softener with fresh gravel and Purolite resin in the amount specified by the owner's manual. We marked the level of the resin on the tank and noticed the level decreased by about a half-inch after a few days. Our tank required 0.7 cubic feet of resin, but we may add a little more due to the settling. The well-packaged Purolite resin was more than adequate. We tested the hardness of the softened water and determined it had almost no hardness.
