Great addition to Marble Genius but the lift mechanism could be improved

My kids (and I) are enjoying the marble run. We bought the "Extreme" set. Plenty of fun and time building the runs. The App is easy enough for kids to do it themselves. This review is for the lift that I bought as an addition to the extreme set. the lift is easy to build, just follow the instructions. The plastic chain needs to be put together. If you use all the parts provided you will have a chain too big for the battery operated lift. the right amount for me was all the part minus 4. This provides enough tension for the mechanism to work otherwise the scoops (make to pickup the marbles up the lift) will get stuck somehow when picking up the marble due to lack of tension in the chain. Once you figure out the right amount of pieces to have in the chain then it is fun. Enjoy.

It was easy to put together, just very tedious. It would be nice for them to say how many pieces to put together to fit but they don't. So I put it all together just to find it was too big and then had to experiment with taking pieces out to get the right length. If a lot of marbles are waiting in the shoot, the little holders will often drop the marbles. But if there's not a lot than it does an alright job of actually picking up the marble. It also squeaks like crazy. From the moment I started it, it squeaked. Don't know if that's normal or if it's just mine. Hopefully some wd40 will fix it. It's a fun thing to add to a marble run.

The media could not be loaded. Great pulleys and motors. Take your time and remove links as needed so that the pulleys and chains are set up straight. There is a perfect number to use and instructions don't help on that. Just keep adding or removing links to get it right. You can very easily daisy chain these and go up as high as you need to. The video shows doing this with two of them. I would need to buy another extreme marble set to go higher probably as you run out of the small pieces. When daisy chained they can get you about 4 feet off the floor.
