Children should thoroughly enjoy this keyboard. The microphone which is removable, with the record option should have them singing and playing along. There are 22 demo songs, such as Happy Birthday, Christmas songs, Joy to the World and many others. 8 different "sounds" such as piano, organ, music box, guitar and more should be fun and educational for kids new to music. 8 different "beats" are included, such as rock, slow rock, waltz, blues, etc. There is a tempo button to speed up or slow down the tempo. The volume control will thrill parents I'm sure. When it's turned on after being shut off, the full volume tends to be a little overwhelming. The 3-year-old age listed seems a bit young to appreciate all that this toy offers. It is a lightweight keyboard causing me to wonder about its durability.

I gave the keyboard to my daughter for her birthday. She loves it - especially the microphone attachment. For the right price, the keyboard is a good buy. It's a lightweight keyboard that's pretty durable too - she's already dropped it a few times. The keys could be a bit more sensitive too. The only caveat is the sound. Every time it turns - on regardless of the sound setting when it was turned off - it's on full blast and loud as bejesus.

Seemed like a great music toy option for our daughter. But beware - this is one of those annoying toys you're going to want to permanently lose the batteries for. It's obnoxiously loud and the volume turns on at full blast, every time. And plays a song when it turns on that you can't stop. We just wanted a simple keyboard. Instead I want to rip my hair out when this thing comes out.
