It's good, but could be great

1. Battery life is not quite what they advertise unless you start from a fresh charge on low output.
2. If the clip were to be redesigned to be as wide as the top it would be more stable / less tippy when sitting.
3. Light is _so_ touch sensitive that you cannot pack it for a trip without it turning itself on. This isn't good.
4. Needs to be redesigned with a Master Off Switch by the charging port, so it can stay shut off for travel.
5. Older models of this light are Micro USB, Not USB-C. The Industry needs to convert to USB-C ASAP. It is a better protocol, it's faster, and reduces the number of chargers needed for gear.
6. Overall it gives good light for long enough for many reading sessions. It should be recharged after each session to assure it is good to go for the next session. It can be used while charging, It is fighting above it's weight at its price point for what it is. I would pay more for it if the master power switch and a more stable base while unclipped were added in a redesign.

Overall - I love this light and will buy one for my parents (who also needlepoint).
Brightness: I have been struggling to find a light that is bright, but not too bright that can illuminate my needlepoint projects while I'm on the couch watching movies or tv with my husband, who likes to have minimal light in the room. I've used a really neat light that goes around my neck and that was great, but my husband would complain it was too bright so I had to turn it off as soon as I turned it on. But this new light is different and he is fine with it, which is perfect.
The clip: so some feedback on the clip - I tried clipping it to the smooth plastic or metal parts of my stand and it kept slipping off/not getting a good grip. I switched to clipping to the frame of my project and it works great. Also, if you have a thick frame for your project, it might not get wide enough so you may have to get creative there.
The button/sensor: I tend to accidentally tap where the sensor is while moving my project so it lights up, which is a little annoying, but it's not bad and if my hands aren't near it, it doesn't go off, so that's good. But when I do want to use it, it's easy to use and there are a few brightness settings, which is great.
Charging: I've had it for a couple of months now and haven't needed to charge it yet, so it has a good battery life.

This light is exactly what I was looking for. It clips onto just about anything, provides a lot of directed light that is perfect for reading or fine work. It is compact enough to be portable. The USB charger makes it convenient and the charge lasts a very long time. The thing that makes me crazy is that the on/off is SO sensitive and is in a place that gets touched so often. Whenever I pack it up to go somewhere or it gets the slightest touch, it turns on/off. It's not a deal breaker, but I do consider it a design flaw.
The small usb port broke after a year or so and would not charge. I am ordering another light, but it won't be this one.

The Big Clip May Not Be the Best Choice For Your Laptop

I bought this to use as a laptop light. The neck is sturdy and very flexible. The LED lights, with three brightness settings, are nice. The clip is quite wide and I have a hard time finding a spot on my laptop where it is clipped on well, but not pressing any buttons. And then the neck and clip are in the way of my hands typing or the light pod blocks my vision of the screen. The touch switch is convenient, but it turns on when anything touches it, so is often on at times it doesn't need to be, like in my laptop bag, or while sitting beside my bed. Good thing the battery is rechargeable. I'm not super happy with the way it reflects on my screen, making it easy to see the keyboard, but also hard to see things on the monitor. These issues may be present with other styles of laptop lights, I don't know, but if I had tried this one before buying it, I might have made a different choice. It would be fine as a rechargeable book light if you read hardcover books, but the clip is too big and heavy for convenient paperback use. Whenever I can, I clip it to a shelf or something nearby rather than my laptop or a book.
